Itinerary

Program: Arrive Zanzibar airport/ harbor transfer to Stone Town Hotel for check inn, at 2:30pm have the Stone town tour takes around the historical culture and architectural important. It takes about 1 hour drive to the Hotel on the way your Local driver will give you the history of Zanzibar.

Early in the morning the driver will pick you from the hotel ready to transfer you to Zanzibar airport departing to Arusha
It takes about 1 hour 30 minutes on the air. Up on arrival you will meet your Our team then transfer you to the Hotel it takes about 30 minutes’ drive to the Hotel.

After breakfast, our driver will drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park in the morning. Set against the steep escarpment of the Rift Valley, you’ll find Lake Manyara National Park with its evergreen groundwater forest and variety of ecosystems including acacia woodland, grassy plains, a swampy fan delta, and – of course – the expansive lake. This diversity attracts a wide variety of mammal, bird, and wildlife species. Manyara is also home to rare
tree-climbing lions. The park offers excellent game viewing with buffalo, impala, giraffe, bushbuck, waterbuck, hippos, and lots of elephants roaming near the lake. Also look out for blue monkeys, velvet monkeys, and the very active olive baboons.

Enjoy a morning game drive on route to Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for game driving and exploration. The crater is 600m deep, 16km across, and 265 sq km in area. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and game viewing, in what has been described as the eighth wonder of the world. Many of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos can be seen grazing on the open grassland of the crater floor, surrounded by some of the 20,000 large animals that occupy the crater, including lion, cheetah, eland, zebra, and gazelle.
Flamingo, among other bird species, can often be seen feeding at Makat Soda Lake as well.
Afternoon Drive back to the Hotel in Karatu.

Drive to Tarangire National Park in the morning. Tarangire is traversed by the Tarangire River, which never dries up completely. Being the only source of water
during the dry season, it draws hundreds of animals to the park, making for wildlife and bird viewing spectacular. The landscape is varied, with grassy savanna plains, swamps, hills, and spectacular baobabs during a mid-day our driver will transfer you to Arusha airport flying to Zanzibar.

At 8:00 am: Pick up at your hotel and enjoy a straight transfer to the spice farm for a Spice tour. After this you will move onto Stone Town for a boat ride to Prisoner
Island. You will then finish your day with a city tour in Stone Town. This day is filled with history and culture, giving you a one of a kind insight into the rich diversity and history of this island. Transfer back to your hotel.

Staying at Fun Beach Hotel

At 9:00 am: Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Fukuchani to enjoy swimming with turtles in their natural lagoon, feeding them, and touching them. After this you will move into the caves for swimming in freshwater. After this transfer back to the hotel.

Enjoy a morning leisure before our driver transfers you to Zanzibar airport for your flight to home. How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, hot water facility could be free at lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during off season.

It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
